# I need help trimming this plant back and propagating the cuttings.…

I need help trimming this plant back and propagating the cuttings. She is a "mini monstera", her names Ginny and she needs some help. I have never trimmed a plant before so explain like I'm 5 please. Thank you 😅

A few tips 😊  
\- use clean sharp scissors or shears  
\- ensure that each cutting has a node/growth point (on monstera it kind of looks like their “joint”)  
\- leave a couple of centimeters on each side of the node for your cuts

I dip fresh cutting “wounds” in ground cinnamon to help them heal!

Thank you so much! And this might sound dumb but how low should I be cutting, like how many leaves or nodes should be above where I cut? Or does it not matter?

Chop just below a node and you can propagate
