# Hello! I need some help with my plant! The app is saying that she is…

Hello! I need some help with my plant! The app is saying that she is placed too dark! But she’s right in a South-facing window all day with the blinds opened! Recently a whole branch/part of the plant fell out of the soil and didn’t really have any roots, so I quickly threw it into some water! My question is… will this plant propagate in water!?

It looked overwatered especially if water was kept in that pink globe. The roots could have rotted in standing water.

Propagating is the right thing to do. Plant after the roots are at least 2 inches long. Plant in a small pot with well draining soil.

This looks like calico kitten? The leaves will turn from green to purple depending on the light it gets (if it is what I think it is!! I’ll attach a pic of mine) but if it is, it’s a semi-succulent so try taking the globe out and let the soil dry completely between watering. Hope this helps!

Edit\*\* it will propagate in water! I’ve had better luck just popping those bad boys back in the soil though
