# My first time at propagation! I’m excited to hopefully one day plant…

My first time at propagation! I’m excited to hopefully one day plant these ivy clippings.

Not me wanting to walk around Lowe’s and find clippings to propagate! Is this wrong?

Look like pothos - very easy!

They are! I just cut today… but how much of a root system do I need it to grow before I replant?

Usually between 1-2 inches- if the root starts growing another root onto it you’re good! If it stays too long in water they’re tough to transition to soil
