# Hello! Are dark ends on roots normal? I noticed a few of my cuttings…

Hello! Are dark ends on roots normal? I noticed a few of my cuttings have these dark little ends at the root. I felt to see if they were squishy but didn’t seem so. Is it rot?

Not if its not squishy :) Browning is very normal for many water prop plants.
