tips on how to prop an umbrella tree. trying to help save my friends plant 🥺

this picture was from 2 weeks ago, currently all the leaves have fallen off.

Maybe overwatered ? Or not getting enough light

It looks under watered or inconsistently watered based on the dry stems. I agree it needs more light if that is the brightest light in the area of the plant.

You can cut a green section, dip it in rooting hormone and plant in moist soil. Place the cutting near a window with bright indirect light or sunlight filtered through sheer curtains. It needs at least 8 hours of sunlight. There is a low chance it will root if the core of the stem isn’t already decayed. 🍀🪴
