# Hi! New here and seeking advice for propagating ZZ's? I've had these…

Hi! New here and seeking advice for propagating ZZ's? I've had these sitting in a couple inches of water for about a month and not seeing any indication of growth. Is it just a slower propagation or am I doing something wrong?

I also propagated my ZZ by stem cutting recently and it took several months! I cut the stems in September(ish) and I’ve just moved them from water to soil now (February) as they’ve finally grown rhizomes and a couple roots a few centimetres long. My advice is be patient and as long as your cuttings aren’t dying, they’ll grow those roots in a few months
