# Does anyone have experience growing cactus from seed? I live in the…

Does anyone have experience growing cactus from seed?

I live in the north of England and sowed my cacti in seed sowing compost about 3 weeks ago, leaving them on a bright windowsill with plenty of drainage. I gave them a large drink then, and another today (3 weeks later) but I’m yet to see any signs of life!

Do you think my windowsill is too dark/cold?  
Should I have used houseplant soil?  
Should I have watered them more than once every 3 weeks?  
Should I start again?
