# I’m wondering if it’s ok to repot my elephant ear now since we are…

I’m wondering if it’s ok to repot my elephant ear now since we are working our way in to the cooler months. She definitely is crowded. I had my son (because holy heck she is heavy) to pick her up and there are roots everywhere.

I’m apprehensive because I don’t want to disrupt her beautiful growth. What’s the best way to go about it? Do I split the pot?

Thank you! She knows she is my favorite. I had to bring her back from near death so I’m freaking out about repotting and upsetting her. Haha

All I can say is WOW! You must have done something right to get such a healthy, huge and magnificent plant.

Aww thanks. She has gotten bigger. I just watered her but have recently been fertilizing like crazy. It’s been helping but she’s getting too big for her britches. Haha going to attempt to repot tomorrow. 🤞🏼

I do advise repotting after a good watering to loosen up the soil. You can try to push down on the sides to squeeze things and loosen it up a bit. Can always cut her out if needed.
