# hello planty friends! looking for guidance for snake plant…

hello planty friends! looking for guidance for snake plant propagation - i’ve had this whale tail rooting in water and we’re finally seeing good progress! she really is doing her best 🤗 at what point does it get transplanted into soil? has anyone had success growing snake plants in semihydro? TIA for sharing your knowledge and tips!

Most people recommend waiting until the roots are at least 2 inches. I tend to wait until the roots are growing secondary roots as well
