Hello friends! This is my first ever post so please be patient. One of the people in my friend group trimmed her Pothos, and she is giving away some of the vines for propagation. This will be my first ever Pothos, and I know they’re not hard but I want to do this right. What would be the best way to propagate this? Thank you in advance!

Would go one of two ways! One way would be coiling those vines on top of soil and pinning them down a bit to encourage rooting. This would make for a very bushy plant!

You could also chop it up and do a water propagation. That would give you a lot of small pieces, which you could arrange just how you like. Depends on what you prefer!

I agree with this 100% this was gonna be my response lol

If you do choose to cut it up just make sure you looking for healthy leaves. I could be wrong but some look like there wilting alil but that can be from stress as well.

Where exactly would I cut?

If there’s a node you can try propagation. Though all my not survive which is normal. But spots like this

But from your cutting of nodes that don’t have a leaf .. the node should be laid in the soil and spray to keep moist

Cut between the nodes. There are plenty of good resources on youtube to show you the right spots to snip, as well as how to get it to root up and grow into a full plant.

To put it simply above and below the leaf. Should see a little brown bump called a node. That is where root will come from now. ☺️

TBH I heard there better in water to start off propagation but which ever it comfortable for you

I would do the leaf cutting in water and the vine with just a node on soil… but that’s my opinion
