# So I did a thing today. I wasn’t liking how leggy my codiaeum…

So I did a thing today.

I wasn’t liking how leggy my codiaeum varigatum croton was looking. So I chopped it 😬✂️

Hoping it grows back bushier. I also was able to make 2 extra cuttings out of it so hopefully I’ll get 2 extra plants out of this.

Had anxiety doing it, but here we are! What do you think?

I wouldn’t cut off more than a third of the plant at a time, but I’m excited and curious to see how they do

Eek! I’ve cut like 2/3 of one of my plants!

I think certain plants are more sensitive than others

I can’t wait to see an update!! I love propagating! I can’t wait to see the plants they become! I’ve never done this with my croton, but with my pothos it’s so cool to make baby plants 🥰 this is Jerry. He came from mama Sherry 😂

I’m hoping ‘Mammi’ turns out as beautiful as my ficus’ did after I chopped them. Jerry is adorable lol

It’s only been a week and I’m already seeing a new little bud on my croton!

Yes! It has 3 new shoots now! I’m away at a conference, but I’ll post a pic as soon as I get home!

I didn’t take pic of the roots that sprouted on the top part of this I chopped, but I potted it up on Tuesday
