# I’m trying to propagate my Janet Craig and it’s starting to get this…

I’m trying to propagate my Janet Craig and it’s starting to get this brown tint where I cut it. I expected some of the cuttings to fail / rot, but could the same happen to the original plant or is this just part of the process? This is a little over two weeks since cutting.

Hard to tell if it’s rotted, but that is possible based on how it looks. I would make sure you’re watering less when it has no foliage to suck up and store the water.  
Will need less water until it has leaves again.
