I didn’t let my pothos cuttings callous before propagating… can I start over and let the same cutting dry or are they done for?

They don’t need to callous!! You are good. I’ve had mine in water for over a month

Beautiful! Have you been adding any root hormone or liquid fertilizer?

#### SJ replied on 2026-04-21

Pothos produce their own rooting hormone successfully, so you don’t have to add anything. I also have had no issues with rot, but succulents are the only cuttings I let callus 🤷🏻‍♀️

I added fertilizer once so far for each.

Same - I’ve never waited for them to callus first. As long as you have nodes submerged in water, you’ll be good with a little time
