# Hi all! This is my first ever prop so this is possibly a stupid…

Hi all! This is my first ever prop so this is possibly a stupid question... But since it's my first one I don't know! My little dude just got his first leaf since I nipped him from a ailing plant in a hotel a couple of months ago. I was so excited lol. It's a lovely leaf, everyone is very proud. But why now is this piece here turning yellow? Is that normal? How do I make it stop?

Thats just the sheath, which usually dies off after the most recent leaf unfurls. It’s completely normal!

I have a plant that looks the exact same as that! Mine is yellow too! Perfectly normal!
