I really need to save this guy for sentimental reasons. It was incredibly healthy a month ago, then I repotted it and it fell apart. :( Is this propagation going to work?

could u specify what kind of plant it is? and does it have any nodes suggesting it'll grow roots from that cutting?

It does have nodes. It’s a succulent - I believe it’s an aloe.

Change water every few days. Add a little rubbing alcohol to the water. Good luck

Adding a couple drops of isopropyl alcohol to fresh water today - thank you for tip
