# Got these two rhapidophora tetrasperma clippings awhile back that…

_Posted by Ama on 2026-05-10_

Got these two rhapidophora tetrasperma clippings awhile back that have since taken off :D i recently gave them a little plank to climb and was surprised to see a variegated leaf today on one of them when i went to adjust how they were climbing. Im not sure if its unstable variegation, but i do see tiny variegated spots on older leaves, so only time will tell i suppose :0 pretty cool and exciting though!

I have one in my bathroom, and it is growing huge, huge, huge. I am thinking of propagating it myself because it's just getting bushy, and I don't know what else to do with it.

I've had it about a year, and I know that it probably needs to be repotted soon. So, I might repot it, and then I would let it get acclimated to its new pot before I propagate it.

What do you think? I am feeling more courageous about propping it since you mentioned you propped yours, and it seems to be doing well. Yours looks great.

Ooo it looks gorgeous! I'm always all for a chop n prop myself lol. Plus you can always put the new propogated piece back into the soil and make it even bushier if you wanted 👍 Or gove them away to friends like i tend to do
