# Ok friends I just potted up 2 pieces of my monkey tail that I cut…

Ok friends I just potted up 2 pieces of my monkey tail that I cut over a week ago. I put it in a terracotta pot with cactus soil that is dry. When should I water or mist the soil and then how often after that? It’s in front of a grow light! All advice appreciated! Thank you!

I waited a few weeks until I started misting the top of the soil every 10ish days and had mine in a west facing window sil until it rooted and now it's outside receiving 6 hours of sun daily. They don't grow well indoors.
