# What’s the proper way to get root growth from a monstera clipping?…

_Posted by Joz on 2024-05-24_

What’s the proper way to get root growth from a monstera clipping? First time having one, a sweet lady gave me a cut from hers. I currently have in a glass jar with water with lots of natural light coming in. Any advice will help! Thank you!

Make sure you have at least two nodes on the stem. But it’s pretty easy, just leave it in water until it has established roots.
