Hi - where should I cut??

I’ve got a Dracaena Janet Craig - 3 stalks. It got really tall and started struggling so I lopped the tops off two stalks and they’re sprouting and taking roots nicely. On the 3rd stalk, I’m thinking I want to trim it a lot closer to the base - below the leaf line. But there’s also some aerial roots (?) on there.

I’ll probably also subdivide the cutting since it is gonna be big and would probably struggle to stay healthy while growing roots.

Where would you comment cutting? Above or below the root thingies?

Awesome!!! Thanks so much!

The rooting hormone on both sides of the cut??

ya no problem, probably just the propagated part but i don’t know much about rooting hormone sorry. I don’t think it would hurt to put it on both sides though.

Wow! I didn’t know you can do this! I’m learning so much. Mine is growing so full. I dont think I can size up on a pot anymore so there are good next options!

That was in April… I have made 7 \*new\* trees just from the cutting!!!

And Planta added a feature so you can mark something as a cutting /propogation so it will give you guidance for that stage of growth!!
