Looking for tips for propagating this African Violet flower leaf. It came off the main plant and someone told me to put it in water. It now has these little shoots, does anyone know when I should plant it in soil? And what type of soil and pot? Thanks for any help!

Roots should be at least 2” long with secondary roots. As for soil I just have mine in a loose aerated soil with perlite which seems to be just fine, but I put all of my plants in the same soil and hope for the best haha.

You can either leave it in the water to start putting up the baby plant. Or transplant it to perlite (i usually start mine in this) . I like to wait to plant them in Promix HP w/perlite until the baby plant has a good start.
