# Water propagating my monstera albo and these have come up on one of…

Water propagating my monstera albo and these have come up on one of my cuttings - is this normal, are these new root shoots? Or is it bad, kind of looks a bit like mould?  
It’s still shooting the bud out as you can see just no secondary roots…

In the second picture, it looks like those will be secondary roots. I’m confused by the first picture. Did you dip the cut part in something?? It looks like lotion

It looks like candle wax or glue, I’ve used both. It stops the plant from rotting in water

My guess would be dipped on melted wax for shipping but I’m not sure.

Great to hear it’s secondary roots! Yeah a little wax to stop it getting rot on the stalk again
