# Can I propagate this cactus by cutting the top off and starting over?…

Can I propagate this cactus by cutting the top off and starting over? It falls over and is looking bad but the top is very nice.  
Also does anyone know what kind it is?

I have heard of these cacti liking to lay down as they age. The plant rescuer on IG has a beautiful story of how she made it a pot especially for it to lay down like one she saw at a botanical garden and it flowered after. Strange seeing this after just seeing the same cactus in her reel this morning.

Might be a mammilaria? If it flowers in the spring it definitely is
