Does anybody have tips for propagating string of hearts? Is soil or water better?

I personally use soil- easy to lay them on top of the soil and they will root for you!

Do you keep the soil moist? After they root could you repot them with the mother plant easily?

Water has worked for me but only with growlights and heat support
