It is my first time to do propagating, do you change the water? If so, how often? Did you put any liquid fertilizer on the water? Thanks a lot

I change my water 1x per week. 😉 Never used anything special as far as fertilizer.. but I do use purified bottled water.

Not the top water? We are using salt softener it will affect the plant?

Change the water every week or when the water is dirty/cloudy.

I’ve used diluted Miracle Gro fertilizer, rooting hormone powder, and SuperThrive liquid plant vitamins on cuttings.

The root powder works, but, it’s messy in water. Water always looks dirty.

The liquid blue fertilizer I used on cuttings that I kept for years in water.

I recently used SuperThrive with hoya cuttings and it worked well. I used 1 drop per 5 ounce of water. The potato like caudex is Stephania Erecta. It took off after adding the vitamin water.  
That’s one week of growth for the caudex tendrils and the hoya Obovata (round leaf) compared to the lower right hoya wayetti that’s been in water over a month.

I get it at Home Depot (big box chain hardware store, if you’re not in the U.S.). Pretty sure you can order on Amazon as well.
