# some baby peperomia ‘hope’ sproutlets coming up from a leaf i planted…

_Publicado por Plant Father el 2023-09-14_

some baby peperomia ‘hope’ sproutlets coming up from a leaf i planted a month or two ago. just wondering how long everyone’s props tend to root before they grow new leaves. the standard for me seems to be 1-2 weeks for stem cuttings (like pothos, tradescantia, monstera, or even spider pups), 2-4 for succulents (leaf or stem), and leaf cuttings like from peperomias or sansevieria tend to take 6-8 weeks.

Mine take around the same as yours :) I have a snake plant leaf propagating with some pothos and it grew roots in 6 weeks and now at 12 weeks it has the very beginnings of a pup!

And your peperomia hope is soooo cute! I’ve been wanting one 😊

look at all those roots! i think mine must’ve grown a bit faster since i started them in water with pothos cuttings before moving them to perlite. it took about 10 weeks still to see a pup.

i also highly recommend p. hope, it grows very fast, despite supposedly being a slower peperomia. i have noticed however they require a lot more water than their succulent leaves and stems might indicate. i definitely underwatered mine for the first few weeks it was home
