# Hey does anyone know much about propagating a string of hearts plant?…

_Gepostet von Bailey am 2023-09-06_

Hey does anyone know much about propagating a string of hearts plant? Also does anyone know how to make a string of heart plant more full? I have two really long strands and would love my plant to look more full around the pot.

You can cut a string and place it in dirt, or tear off the bottom leaves of the cutting and stick it in water. You can take one or both of the strings and wrap it around the dirt, this will root and it will look more full!

I agree. These ways have worked for me too.
When a ‘hair’ cut is needed. I’ll grab all the vines \& chop straight across the vines then remove some leaves and put all of the vines, cut side down, together in a jar of water. Once they root, i pot it up. It’s almost like getting an instant plant. Haha ☺️ Good luck!

When you wrap the string around the dirt. Try pinning down the nodes with a Bobby pin. That encourages roots to grow from those spots and fills out the plant

This is a couple of months difference by doing that on mine.

This is my favorite way to do it as well! Won’t risk any leaf loss and instantly looks fuller!

U can cut some like this. Then place them into soil where u wanna fill out. They will root eventually
