# My friends monstera wasn’t doing great so I chopped off the leaves…

My friends monstera wasn’t doing great so I chopped off the leaves that we’re struggling below the node to give the rest of the plant a better chance but also to try propagating however my cutting isn’t doing well it’s deteriorating and I’m wondering what I should do. Can it still be propagated with the node even if the leaves are dead ?

UPDATE: I changed the water one of the leaves fell off the bottom is looking pretty brown however there is some healthy green.
