It’s totally up to you. I usually like to do water until they have a good amount of roots established

It looks like you’ve got some teeny roots already. I’d go the water route as well. I’ll be doing the same with my latest batch of cylindrical sansevieria that I cut yesterday.

I got this off the floor of Home Depot just like this lol the lady working the garden center told me I could have it if I thought I could save it so I rescued it. I put it in water so now we wait!

I have had luck propagating in both soil and water. I like the watch the roots grow on water. But, I got more roots propagating in soil.

I’ve read that soil propagation is quicker. Added bonus: you can cut your stem into multiple plants. I think your plant would get her “sea legs” relatively quickly since you’re not starting from scratch. Let us know which you choose and update on your progress!
