# Hi! Does anyone have experience with crape myrtles? I planted mine as…

Hi! Does anyone have experience with crape myrtles? I planted mine as a tiny cutting (like an inch tall) and it rooted and was growing great until recently when it just stopped. And then it started wilting and dropping its lower leaves. I repotted it thinking that might be the problem but I haven’t seen and improvement.  
It stopped growing a little while after I moved and it’s getting less sun then it was, could that be the problem?

It could be about the light. It could just be shock from the move. Maybe it doesn’t like the water at your new place. Sounds like you have been in your place for a little while and have been watching and trying. There’s info about problems and pests on the Crepe Myrtle’s main page. Maybe it can steer you in what might be going on.

Thank you, I think it probably is the light and I just moved it to a spot that gets a ton.

Ps I use filtered and/or rainwater so I don’t think that would be it.

Mine is in full sun and does super well and the crape Myrtle page does say to have it in full sun.  
I’d try adjusting the light first.
