# Has anyone succeeded in using the notching method to promote branch…

Has anyone succeeded in using the notching method to promote branch growth on their rubber tree?  
And if so, how long till you started to see any signs that it worked?

I was so nervous to do it but I got some keiki paste and figured it was the perfect time. Not sure if it was the paste that did the trick but the results came after about 10 days

Nice!! I notched mine about a month ago and still am not seeing anything, but I didn’t have any paste so maybe that’s the trick.

I haven’t notched but I have had good results with keiki paste on my rubber trees. For mine, I had new growth points just like Leafmealone’s but they didn’t do anything at first. Then mine accidentally broke above those nodes. I added keiki paste after that and now the nodes are all new branches
