I have a snake plant that I want to propagate, but idrk how. Can someone who's does this before tell me how pls? Greatly appreciated! Some of the leaves also look droopy, any tips are great too!

Edit: so literally right after I posted this, I was just taking a look at the plant and I just slightly pulled a droopy leaf and that leaf and a few other newer ones came right out! I saw it only had a few roots and I think the pot is TOO big for the plant I am going to set this part of the plant in water. It may also be a root rot? Again, any tips, PLEASE 🙏 (the photo of the roots is part of the edit)

Is the water drying out completely between waterings? If not, than it may be root rot, but if so, I would try taking the plant out and splitting it into like two smaller sections and then replant in fresh soil! I have never propagated spider so I’m not really qualified😂 but that is where I would start!

You can also cut a single leaf from the mother and put it in water. It will grow roots in a few months, and then you can plant it in a well draining succulent mix. I have a propagated piece that I just planted! The leaf had been in water for a month or two, and it grew many roots and the start of two new baby leaves.

Sounds good, the soil has been drying out, the only thing is my dad said "No more plants until about 6 months from now." And it's only been like a week since he said that, I'll see if he lets me lol

Just put him in water, he literally has like no roots 😬🫥

Try getting a soil moisture meter (from Amazon) to help prevent from overwatering and under watering. Try watering it every 2 wks instead. Remove the dead leaves right away.

I didn't know those existed I am so getting that

I got one recently. Game changer for plants that don’t need as much water and need to be fully dry before watering again.
