# I messed up. I got a cutting from a doomed plant at Home Depot…

I messed up. I got a cutting from a doomed plant at Home Depot thinking it was a some kind of pothos. Almost 2 weeks later and no roots. I found out today it’s actually a silver monstera. Does anyone have experience with these, and how long should it take to get roots? This will be my first monstera.

It took considerably longer for my monsters cutting to root like pothos do. Change the water about once a week, make sure it gets enough light, and be patient. Good luck!
