what works for me is:
1\. Getting a jar and fill it with water
2\. Putting saran wrap over the top of the jar.
3\. Poking the bottom of the plants through the saran wrap until it touches the water without falling through
4\. Once the roots start to grow in I place them in the soil and they just grow from there!

I’m doing something similar with donkey tail leaves from my nana’s plant. Fingers crossed we both get good results! 🤞🏼
