# Separated this pretty girl from a much bigger peace lily three days…

Separated this pretty girl from a much bigger peace lily three days ago, and she’s not doing well. I’m totally new at taking care of plants and not sure what to do. Advice appreciated!

They are such drama queens! Just give them a bit of water and they will be fine in a minute!

I agree to give plenty of water (peace lillies tend to be thirsty) but also make sure the water is draining well so that the roots don’t sit in water or stay too wet. Imagine that the water is just passing through, and giving the plant a chance to grab and hold onto what it needs before it’s gone. Make sure she’s getting plenty of indirect light too. Good luck!

It’s possible the pot might be a little too big as well. Try those other tips first and if that doesn’t work then maybe repot it in a slightly smaller pot
