# Hi so this is my first time propagating or even caring for aloe for…

_Posted by Jenn on 2023-05-24_

Hi so this is my first time propagating or even caring for aloe for that matter. My parents aloe plant had SOO many pups so I decided to propagate them. My dad watered them again without realizing I already watered them the day before🙄 im super worried they are forming root rot now. (I know nothing about root rot) but I just want them to propagate properly haha. Any advice on how to care for them/what to do would be appreciated!

You should be fine as it was in such a close time period of watering. Just make sure not to water again until the soil is completely dry and give it lots of sun! If you really feel worried about it, check for root rot signs every couple days- if you do find it all you should have to do is repot with fresh new dry soil since you should be catching it early on. Hope this helps!

I have 4 Aloe Vera’s from my sisters 30 year old one, it is huge. Absolutely huge.

It probably does NOT have root rot. Also I was just gifted an aloe Vera and it’s so happy it’s growing like crazy and releasing tons of new babies. Eek!
