Ok so I chopped up my Swiss cheese philo and put it in water. Will the old nodes/aerial roots start growing again? Or do I need to put my baby in soil?

I’ve seen people propagate nodes in either sphagnum moss or perlite. I would worry about nodes rotting in just water but it might still work

Those propagate in water well. I've seen people on youtube doing it 🙂 they recommended to change water often! No need to put back in soil.
