# Hello all I was given this cutting (salvia hot lips) from my aunt and…

Hello all I was given this cutting (salvia hot lips) from my aunt and I’ve got it to the stage where I feel it’s ready to pot on but the plant is half way up a twig. When repotting it can I put the soil up to the plant or do I have to pot it at the existing soil level? It looks odd at the moment so would hope to improve its aesthetics! Thank you.

I've wondered this same thing! 🤧 My sedum that I water rooted would have toppled over if I hadn't buried the stalk deeper than the original plant's stalks. So far, they're healthy... But I'm not sure if I messed up!
