Help me save my aloe?!

My aloe was very unhappy. Pretty sure I was over-watering. I chopped and repotted it. Fingers crossed for this to survive! I set aside the cut leaves to callous over so I can attempt to pot those too. What can I do to help the remaining plant and loose leaves to survive?

Did you check for root rot.

No. Just chopped and chucked the whole bottom part that looked dead.

Does your pot have proper drainage?
