Was your prop in perlite?

Mine had a ton of those, and they didn’t seem to do any harm

Could it be mealy bug? I’m battling them myself right now.

If it’s not squishy and doesn’t come off easily, I think it could be a root. The start of one at least like in Richelle’s photo above

I had this as well, but most of them ended up with roots coming from the area. It doesn’t hurt it but I did try really hard not to knock it off.

Mine was like this and ended up becoming roots just very slowly
