# Anyone know why this part of my corn plant has darkened? It used to…

Anyone know why this part of my corn plant has darkened? It used to be green like the other parts. The plant was positioned so that this side was getting the least sunlight; not sure if that’s the reason? If anyone has an idea on how to fix this please let me know. Thanks :)

is it squishy? if it’s anything like lucky bamboo, it can be saved as long as it’s not squishy

the internet is saying that its probably rotting. might be best to repot it and remove the black stem from the healthy ones. the article also said the cause might be overwatering since these plants like their soil to dry out completely before watering again
