# Cat palm has been struggling. Realized it was sitting in water (only…

Cat palm has been struggling. Realized it was sitting in water (only for a few days) so drained that off but I tried to clear off some dried out old stuff and a few of the stalks that had some browning also had this white fuzz under the old sheaf. Is that mold/fungus? I can say for sure it wasn’t mealy bugs.

I trimmed off the two offending stalks and have plans to check for root rot this week, but anyone suggestions from anyone who has seen similar?

Hey I strongly believe those are mealybugs which are pests. Id google on how to get rid of them bc they will spread as well
