# HELP! I replanted this plant after seeing her leaves start to brown…

_Posted by Ashlynn on 2025-04-17_

HELP! I replanted this plant after seeing her leaves start to brown and got a grow light for her as well due to thinking maybe she just didn’t have enough sunlight, but after replanting her, I watered her thoroughly so the fertilization sticks I put in would help thinking that her past soil might’ve been too dry but now that I’m thinking it through more, I think it was too wet maybe? I put rocks at the bottom of her new soil and mixed regular house plant soil with perlite. She then proceeded to have another leaf start to brown. All of her leaves have been drooping (before, and after repotting) and I don’t know what to do as I just repotted her in soil, but the soil is pretty damp and I really don’t want to give more new soil to dry her out and see if she’s happy lol.🤦🏻‍♀️ I don’t even know thag to do lol. I cut the one leaf that was browning a lot off in hopes that me pruning it would help it focus its rest of its energy but I think it hates me.😂 I NEED ADVICE!!!

Does it have good drainage? Most of the plants that have given me a hard time didn't dry out to well. How did the roots look when you repottednUmh it could be the minerals in your water as well.

The roots were completely time so I’m stumped! I didn’t prune any of the roots and the plastic pot sits inside of the other one. The plastic pot has drainage at the bottom and I also put probably an inch of rocks in there as well to help with drainage.

What kind of plant is that? It might like humidity as well!

It is a Tineke Rbber plant!

My prayer plant started turning brown and dying slowly. I repotted and started watering with distilled! I also have a grow light for most of my plants

Overwatering, underwater ingredients, low humidity or to much direct sunlight 🤔

I hope that helps!! I was burning my umbrella tree and had to put it under my grow light table. Loving it now!

Thank you so much! It did! I’m hoping I can avoid repotting it and just let it dry out, but I might have to cave🤦🏻‍♀️😂 I love that plant! I have a mini one in one of my more shaded windows!

Maybe bring it over to the same window if the baby is doing well!! My first umbrella tree went thru hell for 2 years before I figured it out! Lol
