Why is it that my spider plant has hung on for 8 years with minimal effort but now that I am actively caring for it, it’s starting to die 😫

Because they seem to thrive on neglect 😘

Paying more attention means you either moved it or watered it too much. When I pay to much attention to mine they do the same thing. It is usually too much water. Did you repot it?

Plus that pot is too big for that.

lol I had to remove a ton of dead seedlings when I repotted it 😭😂
