# So… I snapped my Monstera Deliciosa stem. I was in the process of…

_Posted by Hannah on 2024-09-03_

So… I snapped my Monstera Deliciosa stem. I was in the process of re-attaching it to a stake so it could grow up ur rather than along, and didn’t realise how delicate it is! I don’t have pictures of the actual break, but the first picture is how I’ve taped it together as per some internet advice. Has this happened to anyone? Is there any hope? At what point should I give it up and take cuttings? The second picture is the stem, I’ve got some good nodes/aerial roots. Any advice is welcome!

I would try to replant the broken part and if it’s not working then throw it out but if it’s well enough then try to tape it back to gether.🤔
