# Yesterday I posted to the pests, diseases and problems group looking…

_Posted by Nix Nox on 2025-12-05_

Yesterday I posted to the pests, diseases and problems group looking for help with my baby, Groot, I've done a LOT of pruning and trimming, temperature checked the spot I chose for him to move to, added a few pieces of sea glass and pebbles from when I first bought him three-ish years ago and I'm looking into non-smelly feetilizer (the 'tism restricts my options due to sensitivity to scent....

Fingers are crossed and he has been put back into his spot by the window after being left to dry. I've never nursed a plant back to health before, especially from root rot, so here's hoping.

If anyone thinks I need to trim more, or any suggestions, let me know!!! I'm hoping that cutting it how I did - focusing on the yellow half and leaving the green - will allow him to grow more roots and absorb water better (I was also trying to keep his strongest root) (I also trimmed that yellow leaf after taking the photos)

Oh its looking better already! tho my small advice is maybe dont put the full stalk in and just where the roots are incase it gets that odd soggy texture٫ but can fully understand the tism considering most plant products smell like worser than root rot ٫ but other than that good job!
