# Orchid Rescue These orchids were left too long in a wet environment…

Orchid Rescue

These orchids were left too long in a wet environment which caused most of their roots to rot and have to be removed. I had to remove a majority of the roots. I gave them a rice water soaking to stimulate root development and ended up removing more roots from one of them before starting to grow them in a hydroponic environment. Now they’re living on my windowsill.

Idk if you've done orchids in hydro before, but friendly reminder to not leave the roots sitting in water. They need to dry out between waterings
