# my baby girl, Ivory, my first plant i got in my own place died…

my baby girl, Ivory, my first plant i got in my own place died recently :( can't believe im so heartbroken over a plant. here's some pics of her in her prime. i had her for a year and 2.5 months. she was a birthday gift from my boyfriend for my 18th.  
rip ivory. now in need of another...

Aw sorry to hear that! I had one too that didn’t make it through me moving to a new place. I still love bromeliads, but I got a much smaller variety to replace it and save on room. Someday maybe I’ll have another flaming sword

Bromeliads only flower right before they pass on, but usually there is a pup or baby plant left behind. Sorry for the loss!

i had her for a good year after she flowered, the flower unfortunately got broken off during our move:(
