# Heavily pruned my Calathea Orbifolia, I did this to remove dying…

Heavily pruned my Calathea Orbifolia, I did this to remove dying leaves that I didn’t think the plant could recover, and to lessen the load on the Calathea because I just repotted it and cut its roots in half (the roots molded to the previous pot shape \& I heard this is bad) So hopefully it will start to recover. I think it’s not doing the best right now mainly due to humidity, I live in North Carolina so I am in the south but not south enough for this plant to be okay in the winter months, so I’m doing what I can.
