# I have been seeing these brown dots on leaves for a month now.. also…

I have been seeing these brown dots on leaves for a month now.. also i noticed there are flying insects/gnats in/on the sand. Pls tell what is it and how to treat that

The flying insects are fungus gnats. Not sure about the brown dots, but it’s definitely some other kind of pest. What I recommend doing is:  
-Isolate the plant from any other plants you have, and inspect any other plants for pests  
-Get 3% hydrogen peroxide (available at any drugstore or probably most grocery stores). Adding 1 part hydrogen peroxide to 3 parts water when you water your plant can kill any bug eggs in the soil.  
\- Get neem oil (concentrate, which you will have to dilute yourself, or spray ready) and/or a bug spray designed for houseplants. I’d recommend Captain Jack’s dead bug brew. Both can be found at most specialty garden centers or on Amazon. Completely spray any affected plants around 1-2x a week to treat for pests.
