# So I had heard that Home Depot had some of these. So I stopped at one…

So I had heard that Home Depot had some of these. So I stopped at one in Harrisburg PA and sure enough I found just one… on the discount table. $20 reduced to $10 and it was in sad shape. Stems drooping over the pot edge, only the biggest leaf standing. However there was new growth at the bottom, with 4 new leaves that looked pretty good. So what did I do? I left it there. I thought too much work. But I also thought maybe it just needed some water.

The next day, after doing some more research on Masoniana, I determined that this might be a Lonely Rock or Mountain because of the black border around the edge of the leaves. I should have bought it!

So the next day after work, I headed back to the same Home Depot. Would it still be there? Sure enough it was still there looking as forlorn as ever. I gently scooped it up, paid my $10 and took it home.

At home, I gave it some water and then had to leave and go to my granddaughter’s house. When I came back it looked like you see it in the pictures. The drooping was gone. It just needed a little water and someone to care.

If it is in better condition than mine that I paid $10 for, that would be a deal. Did it have the black edge around the leaf? If it didn’t it is probably an Iron Cross. This is a Lonely Rock from what I have researched.

Oh I don't remember! I was more focused on the pattern thickness on the leaves. My son was with me and he grossed out cause he has a phobia of "holes" 😆 Interesting! I'll go back this weekend!
